Protection for Owners

Vehicle Protection

Gnarly Goose is all about sharing the incredible experience of off-road machines while adding peace of mind for vehicle owners. You can sleep soundly knowing that your vehicle is covered under our vehicle protection plan. All vehicles listed on our platform are covered up $40,000 including the trailer, depending on the type of vehicle and fair market value. All renter’s are required to pay a small fee to ensure that your property is protected. A deposit of $2,000 is required to encourage safe driving behavior as well as checking the renters driving record and background.

Secure Payment Processing

Gnarly Goose uses secure payment processing through Stripe. Stripe is the only platform that we will accept any type of payment through as they accept most major credit cards and this streamlines the checkout process. If you have questions about Stripe’s security, please see their security page for more information.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get my vehicle listed after I submit the form?

We work as quickly as possible to get your vehicle listed. We do have to run a background check and build the listing so it can take anywhere from 3-7 business days.

How do I get paid from a rental?

Once a rental period is complete and we’ve received the pre and post rental damage reports from both you and the renter, we will pay you.

How do I block off my vehicle so I can take it out?

Simple, shoot us an email. In the near future you’ll be able to manage your own calendar and can block dates so your ride doesn’t display on certain dates.

What happens if my vehicle is damaged during a rental?

The goal is to keep the vehicle owner whole. Prior to rental period, a $2000 hold will be placed on the renter’s credit or debit card as a damage deposit. Any damage that occurs resulting in costs below that deposit will be deducted and the remaining balance will be returned to the renter. If damage occurs costing more than $2000, our policy covers damages to the owners vehicle up to the market value as determined by Gnarly Goose with a cap of $40,000. Please see the Terms of Service for the full description and process in the event of an accident. We do recommend that vehicle owners still carry their own insurance as our policy will not extend to their personal use.

Do I need to provide riding gear for my UTV or Snowmobile?

That’s up to you. All powersport vehicle occupants must wear helmets and eye protection at all times. If they don’t have the proper protection the renter is responsible for getting it. That can either be through you or some other venue.
